Hi, so my shuffler name is Stark and it's nice to meet you all! I hope to make some new friends, practice on my shuffling, and maybe when I get better make a crew. I've been shuffling since October of 2011 and I don't regret one second. Some of the shufflers who inspired me are: Mikkiz, Row, Oper(Russia), Hex(Russia). I hope to meet every single one of you, and shuffling has changed my life!

There seems to be a lot of shufflers in California, so you shouldn't have problems meeting up with people Smile

You can add your location to your profile so everyone can see where you're from by the way Smile

Well for me, my goals currently, are to work on the T-step into my shuffle, try to design my own outfits, get phats, rave suspenders, and make some good solid videos. Also when we meet-up is there a Dj or is it just free for all dance and hang out type of thing?

Seems like nice goals. The outfit you can see in my profile picture is entirely home made Smile

Regarding meet-ups, that really depends on the organizer. Some organizers use live DJs, but I would say that the most common thing is to bring a boombox.

Also I do have one question. When I shuffle for less than 30 minutes or maybe more, whether it's a hot day or not, I sweat and get tired. Is that normal? and how often should I take breaks?

that happens to me try and take breaks every now and then like practice t-stepping for 5 mins break again and break do the same with the running man and there's a shuffle crew that i joined on here Razz

it's called EHA and we accept almost everyone from beginners to pros so if you want just look for it in the latest topics and fill out the info and wait for a reply Very Happy

Hi Starkshuffler welcome to MSO. The sweating and tiredness is pretty common, it's just part of your body metabolism responding to the new exercise. As you get fitter the tiredness will fade away, the sweating will remain but probably lessen over time.

You just need to keep a check on your body fluids when exercising, so top up with water or fruit juice etc so you don't dehydrate. Frequent little drinks rather than getting dry then having big drinks.
