I think this is really good for a month of progress. You were a bit off balance with some of your kicks, but it'll come with practice. Just keep on shuffling, that's my advice for improvement.

Yeah, kicks are the hardest thing for me Sad

When I'm kicking it's so hard for me to stay on balance & kick high that I can't focus on my upper body at all T_T

I have not been able to practice lately because of school/work etc. but I'm starting again now. cheers

Does anybody know what kind of shoes help with dancing?
I don't know my way around shoes and I need to get some next week.
I'm looking now x.x , I need something flat bottomed with minimal grip of course, but with a high toe and heel because I've started to practice C-walking Very Happy

If you know, it'd help me alot, & thanks >.^

You've actually already pointed out the problem with kicks. You say that it's hard to kick because it takes your focus off your upper body. I wouldn't concentrate that much on my upper body if I were you. Practice your footwork first. Balance is just practice, and I think that the height of your kicks should be adapted to your style. You don't want your kicks to break up your flow.

There is no right answer when it comes to shoes for shuffling, but like you said, get a pair with a flat sole and minimal grip. I'm don't really know a lot about c-walking, but if I'm not wrong I have seen c-walkers wearing skate shoes. Skate shoes have a flat sole and a low grip, but some of them tend to have very little ankle support, so watch that. But just look for shoes with:

- flat sole

- low grip

My shoes keep giving me blitsters so I'm gonna take a break and learn some more variations quite slowly untill then ^.^

I'll try and focus more on my footwork but it feels awkward not doing anything with my arms or chest >.<
