Here we go it's the start of the GLOBAL SHUFFLE MeetUp Season - Northern Summer 2011.

This is the Offical 2011 logo and all official meetups will have this located somewhere in their publicity flyers etc AND will be listed on this forum as legit.

You will be able to buy GSM hoodies with the logo and customize text to add your town.

And yes you can help support Global Shuffle MeetUps in your town by using the logo as a badge, sticker etc with YOUR TOWN on it.

Please let us know if you want an official GLOBAL SHUFFLE MeetUp in your town, this (Northern) summer. We can plan 3-4 over summer for each town.

nah it's more like music is constantly pumping and if you want to shuffle you just shuffle! no one tells you off for shuffling at all, everyone is shuffling at whatever point they want.... however sometimes people have battle and then yes, it's a two man game (:

Yeah good idea. I know Albury/Wadonga, you've got some water in the Murray now too lots of great spots. The councils will be interested in a tourism aspect, for instance if you post some youtube vids and also become an official GSM meetup. Because we want to do more than one, we see these as the start of ongoing meetups for the next few years.

So we're happy to work in with the local youth/sports organisations who run stuff as well. They usually take a few months of letters and things going to committees etc, but that's how you can become part of bigger events in town that have stages and sounds systems and all the infrastructure portable toilets etc etc to cope with a crowd.

im not sure when. they usually give about 1 months notice, but they are usually every 2 months or on public holidays.... when i find out i'll let you know yea (:

Have a read of the How to run a Meetup thread in the tutorials, and it'll give you all the basic information about permits, publicity etc.

What we get you to do is run a small meetup 6-12 people first of all, to show you have the ability to organise something on the ground. It's easy to talk online, but making it happen in your town is another thing completely.

So read through the tutorial then come back to this thread with your questions and we'll show you how to get the very first meetup happening. I say the very first because the meetups are the regular thing shufflers go to to socialise.

We'll leave the conversations here, because there's plenty of others thinking the same thing...How do you get a meetup going in your town
