Free To Download Album links

Is it ok if I post download links for albums?? If it is I have a bunch that would love to share with you guys. I have thousands of great songs to shuffle to!!

Hi Geistsoul13 sure you can post the links only if they are legal free downloads. We don't support music piracy at MSO because we're mostly musicians who's only income is from writing music and selling the trax, often for only 50 cents a track. So every single sale helps keep us alive and allows us to create more music for ya.

Most musicians will have free downloads, 1 min samples or youtube versions of their works, we encourage people to use these and avoid the usual piracy sites in protest. We're not mega commercial record companies, we're just artists struggling to pay our rent.

Illegal download links are scanned by international authorities now, and they now prosecute people who post links to illegal downloads, which means you could be fined or face jail for posting links to illegal downloads - the courts decide what is illegal and legal btw, not us. And yes they are very good at finding out where you live, they generally employ old hackers to do the work, so they know all the tricks, and work with local Police to do dawn raids on your house and confiscate all your discs and computers. That's usually the first time you'll hear from them, they're very sneaky, and they like the whole neighborhood to know you're busted, before you get out of bed! If you're under 18 then your parents could loose their house to bail you out...yes the authorities know how to make you hurt, that's the idea.

So yep, if they're legal please post them and the artists site links so we can find out more about them. Shufflers are always looking for great music to Shuffle to.

WARNING Pirated music (and movie) links are usually covers for hackers to steal your identity. A trojan virus will be embedded in the pirated music file and scan your computer hard drive for pass words, credit card and online banking details, your email address lists etc.

Then the virus will erase everything on your drive so it can't be traced back to the hacker. This might happen months after you've downloaded a file. It will skim all your emails to friends and use your name to hack into their computers too, by tagging your legit emails with another trojan virus.

These details are then sold to criminals who empty your bank account or hack your passport etc.

The so called 'free downloads' are just bait, and if you report your identity theft to Police, you're in trouble for illegal downloading too.

So basically, the crims own you

just curious whats some good bands/Djs/songs to shuffle to? And a legal way 2 get their music. (some bands are hard 2 find...)
Ive got a good library of hardstyle/Happy harcore/rave/trance. But some songs just get old and I cant really get into the shuffle with metal or rock.

and more on topic: Im an electronic artist and I have every song I make, free to download. I don't see music as a way to make money, but more so an expression. And sides knowing someone enjoyed my stuff would make me happier then a few more bucks in my pocket.

I love that people can make a living offa doing what they love. so thats why I avoid wearin an eyepatch and buy my songs legaly.

Most pro musicians are over the moon that people want to listen to their music, 95% of us are dirt poor, we get no holiday/sick pay, we have nothing to retire on, we end up selling our gear to help put food on the table for our families and kids, then we get serious depression problems because we can't do what we love and we know most of us will die poor, but we keep going for the shear passion and love of creating music, it's not a job, it's what we are, it's our life.

There's quite a lot of stuff on youtube now, and myspace music has heaps of free tracks, mainly do searches by genre etc and you'll get a good start.

If we can get some links to these, please post them here, no drama's with legal stuff.

Here's a great youtube channel with hundreds of original oldskool trax, and plenty of related channels. You can do good searches with the track info to chase down legal hi res versions if availible.

I've tried suffleing to hardcore/gabber before... can't really stay on beat for long but is allot of fun!
These songs are all awesome!
Ill check out those Jpop forums too. I'll show the songs to my girl. (she's in love with the jap culture)
