Okay I know this is going to sound a bit ignorant, but I keep hearing about the different shuffle styles and i was just wondering if anyone can give me some information on the different styles and what sets them apart from each other.

Would it be appropriate to incorporate some break dancing moves into shuffling? I sometimes se my friends shuffle then do a flip or windmill I dont know but that some style right?

Believe it or not, I like to shuffle to vaudeville songs or Chicago musical songs and it's pretty fun but you have to do other things. I don't know if that's a style but it is interesting to do.

Yep sure, many of the original oldskool shufflers were break dancing first and include them in their style. The most famous is BC - cam from NAM in the early 1990's. He came from Oakland CA and grew up with hiphop, Rock steady crew etc, and then did 7 years classical ballet and won 2 Australian Ballroom dancing titles, and mixes the whole lot together live on stage with a metal band and he raps in between shuffle moves Laughing

Not your average rock band hehe

What do you guys think about jumping rope while doing runiing man? Razz I'm really good at jumping rope and I can reject running man. I think it could be cool to do a jump rope jump style lol

There's some footage somewhere on the forum with some sao paulo brasil shufflers using a big jumping rope people holding at each end and doing it in phats !

I'll try and find it, but yeah combine the two it looks fantastic. And jumping in and out while spining or whatever rope folk call it, looks amazing

I dont know if this is considered a "Style" BUt my friends when they shuffle, they scream and clap their hands when they shuffle. Now I seriously dont know if that is appropriate style. But I guess that would we fine in a lound dance party or rave right? Anyhow I think in my opinion that they really do like to shout and that its their style!

Any thoughts?
