GS2 Major Projects

The major projects for GS2 will be done over 12 months, they involve quite a lot of planning and production. For instance holding a meetup or competition. The storyline would follow what you go through to get the event done.

To be involved in a major project you generally need a crew involved to cope with the work load, and some experience already with shooting and posting vids.

So before applying, get some of your work online and start telling us about it on the forum. You will also need to demonstrate that there is interest in your project as well. This forum is a good place to show that.

A major project is when you run the meetup, creating it from the ground up. So we're after the behind the scenes stuff of how you go about setting one up and then filming it.

One of the other issues is getting peoples permission to be filmed and possibly included in the movie.

There'll be other projects to include local shuffling, but for the movie we need to lock in the major projects by end of June 2011 so they will be finished by the same time 2012. Initial shoots would need to be completed by then. So the end of the project may be a big meetup competition etc.

For instance In GS1 4MR set up and ran the Russian Melbourne Shuffle Championship, and in Singapore they did Global Shuffle Day, in Malaysia, Shifter toured and competed in the shuffle competitions over 12 months. So we see them develop over that time to.

People interested in a major project will get private viewing tokens to see some of GS1 to give them an idea. But we're not wanting to just repeat what we've done, the new projects will need a different angle or type of project to be considered.
