I'm not exactly sure what the distinction between trance and hard trance is, but check out artists like Dj Splash, Dj Satomi, and East Clubbers. Definitely good shuffling music.

Usually the difference is trance is mainly a 1990's style stemming from psytrance and hard trance is more a 2000's style that's mostly commercial party music and a big seller on commercial compilation cd's.

Hardstyle which has been around since the 1990's in various forms such as gabba/hacken in the netherlands is tending to replace the hard trance scene now, as the preferred hard variety of dance music, as hard trance has become a bit stale and too commercial.

Psytrance is pretty much unchanged but getting a bit tired now with it's 4-on-the-floor beat, as it all sounds so similar and cliche'd after 20 years

IDM Intelligent Dance Music tried to progress the trance style, but sort of lost out by loosing it's 'dance' roots and becoming more electronic listening music rather than something that 'makes you wanna dance' which any good dance music should do.

Nothing wrong with good listening music, but for dance, it has to function as dance music first, as in it's music related directly to physical movement and a visual component ie: the dancer, where listening music is something you do sitting down in a comfy chair with your eyes closed, visuals are not a component, the music should give you any sound related visuals inside your head.
