So you've just found out about the Melbourne Shuffle, and you want to know more. You've come to the right place Smile

The Melbourne Shuffle is an underground dance culture, which began in Melbourne (Australia) in the early 1990's and has now spread around the world.

It's a friendly inclusive culture. All nations, races, languages, abilities, old and young, male and female, are welcome.

There's a lot you can learn, in Shuffle moves, music, fashion, art works, video, meet-ups, crews, teams all associated with the Shuffle.

So please, don't be shy, we welcome people new to the Shuffle, and we're happy to help with whatever we can. So please ask...

I pretty happy now to, I did manage to do several hardstyle 1:1 beat ratio songs in a row without missing any step, not any big misses any way, but I have way more to learn though, but now I really feel that I actually can be good some day. Good by my ideal, good enough not to bring shame to me and fellow shufflers, or something like that.

ps would you say that shuffling to a song thats around 166-202 bpm slow or fast ???

166-200 bpm is fast, 150 is fast for me, if you don't do 2/4 beat.

ok cuz i have been shuffling to 166 can only keep up for maby one minute but but there are other songs i have that are faster but thay have uneven beats so im kinda forced to half beat but thats is just as fun cuz it gives me a giid opertunity to use my hands a bit more :'D

anything over 145 bpm is pretty fast. Usually 130-145 bpm is good for shuffling. You can have faster or slower bursts of course.

yea i didnt have any techno music before i started shuffling so i just downloaded a hardstyle pack but thay are all pretty fast i think(they are all remixes and most of them have no bpm info), does anyone here know of some slow techno but with a strong bass, just some info about slow techno and maby a song or two, anything really Wink

Deep house and New beat have good and slow 100-120 bpm, then all house, acid, techno etc usually have 120-140 bpm. Hardstyle have 150 or so.

I actually found some swedish shuffle vids, thats nice.
Wel I have improved some, my cordination in my left foot is better now.

thats good. keep it up. At first it seems like there's no light at the end of the tunnel but the more you practice the better you'll become and the quicker you'll learn new things.

Ok good to know, yeah well actually I do see the light of this tunnel atleast though maybe not soon but in time I will get decent if I continue. I see small improvements each day and that helps me to get motivation.

HOLY CRAP.........this is awesome mang.
I've been doing this for at least a year and then i find out what the hell it's called. lol. I didn';t know there was this kind of thing out there, i've been doing my own thing and wow it's actually something awesome.

I'ma kick back and try to learn this stuff as you guys did!

(Basic T, and whatnot that is) It's strange though, i mean, i know steps and its awesome theres experts and beginners and woah, came to a shock!!!!

Been raving and dancing for a while now, but i'm not THAT good

hay everyone long time :'D i got some bad news i wont be able to make my own pair of phats my mom will need to borow some money from me so we have some money for food and i have had this injury in my foot so i have not been able to suffle for a week now :'D but thats not what im here for.
garry i noticed that on the world map thingy with the dots and stuff that there is a dot on reykjavik iceland ??? have not seen ANY shuffling in iceland ever so how can it be ?? and if there really is a shuffler there do u know who it is ??

hi tristan, sorry to hear about your financial problems. Most of us know what that's like.

The map indicates hits on MSO, so the dot is probably indicating you Smile

When MSO starts to get regular hits from the same location, it's figured that it's a shuffler who keeps coming back. We only get the name of the nearest big town, usually where the main telephone exchange or network base is.

But we've had hits from different IP addresses in Iceland so there's probably a couple of others, probably learning like yourself, and not ready to go public yet
